Pachanga Dance Workshop

Shumdesalsa present an afternoon of Pachanga Style dance Workshop lead by Instructor Enrico Casertan

Service Description

What is Pachanga ? Pachanga is a genre of music which is described as a mixture of son montuno and merengue. This style was originated in Cuba in the 1950s and played an important role in the evolution of Caribbean style music as it is today. It was brought to the United States by Cuban immigrants post World War II that led to an explosion in Cuban music clubs that influenced Latin culture in North America for decades to come. In this Workshop we will teach how to incorporated Pachanga style into salsa shines(solo steps) or footwork.We will also focus on how to stay on time and how to apply all the steps easily on the dance floor, understand the groove and the intricate of movements will be our main gold . The word "Pachanga" it self means " party " so lets join this fun event!, and learn more about cuban dance styles and culture . Workshop Level: All levels welcome Dance partner : Not Required Dress :comfortable clothing and dance shoes Instructor : Enrico Casertano
