ShumdeSalsa is inviting you to join us on Saturday, May 14th for Both BACHATA DOMINICANA and LEADERS/FOLLOWERS Workshops. Location: Lula Lounge , 1585 Dundas St West Date: May 14th 12pm-1pm All levels Welcome ! The main characteristic of Bachata is the close connection with your partner .The lead can decide whether to perform in open, semi-closed or closed position. Dance moves or step variety strongly depend on the music (such as the rhythms played by the different instruments), setting, mood, and interpretation, dancers moves with soft hip movements and a tap with a small “pop” with the hip on the 4th beat (1, 2, 3, Tab/Hip). This workshop is perfect for dancers who want to explore more about Dominican culture, history and traditions, dance and music . We will learn solo steps variations and simple buy shummy turn pattern. 1pm-2pm All Levels Welcome!. LEADERS/FOLLOWERS SALSA STYLE This workshop is for both Leaders and Followers to perfect you SHUM "STYLE" while dancing together.Cuban Salsa Style "Casino" is done in a circular motion as appose to linear and partners tend to travel around each other . On this workshop we will learn and/or improve our body isolation, how to add simple but amazing afrocuban movements to enrich your style on the dance floor, combine with turn parents such as 70 , Sombrero doble , Bayamo ,Preciosa and more . Pricing: $25/workshop/per person or $45 for both workshop/per person
